Mark Pokedoff wanted to do radio play-by-play. What he got instead was 28 years of live sports television, a basement replay suite, Super Bowls, Olympics, The Masters, and a career that looked nothing like he planned and everything like he wanted.

Mark Pokedoff is a multi-Emmy Award-winning replay operator who works live sports television from a remote production suite in his home, connecting to TV trucks around the world for events including the Super Bowl, the Olympics, the PGA Championship, and The Masters. His career started in college radio at Temple University, detoured through MLB Productions, TV news, and a sports memorabilia company, before landing in the replay room where he’s spent the last 28 years mastering the craft. He credits mentorship, persistence, and a willingness to try things he didn’t know how to do yet as the keys to everything.
